The fast NaturEar answers. The hearing loss of about 95% are in the mid to higher frequency conversational ranges. These are the ranges that the NaturEar is programmed to correct. What varies from person to person is the amount of the loss which is compensated for by adjusting the volume control.
The Quality: The NaturEar products are made in New Orleans with the electronics supplied by the U.S manufacturer of electronics who supplies several of the largest national brands of hearing aids.
The cost: By selling direct to people in every state, we will sell hundreds of pairs of aids in the time a local hearing aid dealer will probably sell just a few pairs. That means we can charge a fraction of what they charge by not having to the pay the cost of a building and personnel in every city.
The fit: The in-canal aid is made of a softer material which compresses and flexes. So it tightens as it goes into the hearing canal. The fit is comfortable unlike a hard acrylic hearing aid and it's small and out-of-sight. The on-ear open fit aid uses a soft collapsible dome in the ear so it easily fits any size ear canal. After ordering, we then provide additional fitting consultation to allow for additional volume and better fit to eliminate fit, volume, and any problems with feedback.
Who benefits: Our products work exceedingly well for anyone with a moderate conversational hearing loss. That’s when you can hear but just cannot understand everything that is being said and you ask people to repeat. They will not work for someone with a severe loss who you almost have to yell at to get them to hear you.
What about hearing tests: Here is the bottom line on hearing tests. Most who have diminishing hearing are experiencing a most natural process. Hearing changes through the years just as eyesight, bones, joints and everything else. It's not a situation that necessarily relates to a certain age. It happens at 30, 40, 60 and beyond. A few years ago, the Food & Drug Administration decided that people could make their own decisions about hearing help if they were well informed and those companies offering assistance were responsible citizens. Therefore, NaturEar will always make sure that your hearing loss has been gradual over a period of time or you are a previous hearing aid user or you have seen an audiologist. A sudden loss requires examination by a physician. A juvenile or child must have hands-on local professional hearing help. The FDA has given providers like NaturEar an enormous opportunity to assist people with moderate hearing losses. While they have given us this opportunity, it comes with a responsibility that is not being followed by some providers. That is why we are a member of the New Orleans and the United States Better Business Bureaus. It provides users a venue for honesty and protection that many companies would just rather not deal with.
