Warranty Information
The extended warranty purchase information is provided in the packet of information that comes with your hearing aid. The product is guaranteed for an initial six months during which it will be replaced or repaired at no charge except for the service handling processing charge. The current charge for this service is $22.99. There is no processing charge if the problem occurs within the first 45 days of ownership. Free replacement is within the first 45 days.
The conditions are the same for the extended Platinum Lifetime Warranty which adds an additional ONE-YEAR to the original six-month warranty.
In addition, this warranty can be renewed for as long as you own the hearing aid. Almost all other hearing aids, including the most expensive brands, offer a warranty with the sale with no extensions available. Their service also will always cost from $100 to about $450. With other brands, you will return the aid to your local dealer who will ship it back to the manufacturer. When it is returned to the dealer for you to pick it up four to six weeks later, the dealer will add his repair markup to what he was charged for the repair by the manufacturer. It just easy to see that NaturEar has a superior warranty and repair system.

A hearing aid warranty is more than just protection. It is an absolute necessity, because almost all hearing aids fail at sometime for some people, no matter what the price. Here's why. The human ear is a living sensory organ. A hearing aid placed inside the ear heats up to a temperature of 98.6 degrees. This takes place in a warm, moist atmosphere. Those are about the worst possible conditions for the longevity of anything electronic.
But there's more. Add to these conditions the presence of wax and wax humidity. Anyone lucky enough to not have an over-abundance of wax will have happier, more trouble-free hearing aids. However, it's more than just wax that clogs the tips of hearing instruments that causes problems. Some ears are an actual rain forest of wax. A 98.6 degree environment closed in by a hearing aid in which the ear canal becomes an atmosphere of microscopic wax humidity. In this ear atmosphere, it's been found that wax humidity is so fine that it actually travels into the hearing aid wiring within the insulation of the wires into the otherwise inaccessible areas of the hearing aid.
